01
Verify who is contacting you
Your vehicle may be assigned to a local Oregon buyer or service partner. Ask the caller to identify the vehicle and the CashMyCarOregon assignment. Do not rely on a caller simply knowing that you have a vehicle for sale.
Call CashMyCarOregon at the number published on this website if you receive conflicting calls, do not recognize the buyer, or want us to confirm the active assignment before sharing additional information.
- Confirm the buyer or authorized representative's name
- Confirm the vehicle and accepted offer amount
- Confirm the payment method and pickup window
- Do not send money to receive an offer or schedule towing
02
Review any offer change before transfer
An offer may be reconsidered when the VIN, ownership status, major components, damage, vehicle location, or towing access materially differs from the submitted information. The buyer should explain the specific difference and the revised amount before the vehicle is transferred.
You may decline a revised offer. Do not sign ownership documents or release the vehicle until you understand and accept the final amount and payment method.
03
Confirm payment and keep a transaction record
Confirm the final payment method before pickup. When payment depends on document or vehicle verification, ask what will be checked and when payment will be completed. Do not accept an unexpected request to return part of a payment, buy gift cards, or pay a release fee.
Keep a photo or copy of the signed transfer document, the buyer's name, the amount, payment evidence, and the pickup date. Remove personal property and plates when appropriate, and complete the Oregon DMV seller notice that applies to your transaction.
04
Pause an unsafe or different pickup
Towing is included only after an offer and service area are confirmed. Tell the buyer about locked areas, apartment rules, traffic restrictions, steep or soft access, flat tires, missing keys, blocked wheels, and whether the vehicle rolls and steers.
Pause the pickup and call us if the tow operator arrives for a different vehicle, requests an unapproved fee, pressures you to sign incomplete documents, or proposes terms that differ from the accepted arrangement.
05
Share only the information needed for the sale
Ownership documents may be needed to verify that you can transfer the vehicle. Cover unrelated account numbers or personal information when a complete image is not required, and never send online banking passwords, one-time security codes, or payment-card PINs.
CashMyCarOregon does not publish a seller's VIN, exact pickup address, contact details, title documents, or payment information. Submitted vehicle photos require separate publication permission and privacy review before public use.
06
Report a problem to CashMyCarOregon
Call us with your name, vehicle, approximate submission date, caller or buyer name, and a short description of what happened. We can review the request, assignment, communication, and status records available in our system and escalate the issue to the assigned partner.
For immediate danger, threats, theft, or suspected financial fraud, contact the appropriate emergency service, local law enforcement, bank, or payment provider first. CashMyCarOregon support does not replace those authorities or legal advice.
